|Virtual Lab Tours (coming Spring 2006)|
Xunesis takes you inside the laboratories of major scientists to put a face behind the discoveries. Learn about the questions that drive research, see the methods first hand and get the big picture on where a field is heading. Presented like an American Psychological Association format paper, these short videos provide an introduction for beginning students as well as more in depth coverage for advanced classes.
Xunesis' first series of tours coproduced with AI(2), introduces students to basic principles of learning and behavior as studied using basic experiments along with cutting edge neuroscience methodologies. Topics include memory, fear, and spatial navigation and reasoning. We visit the labs of three experts to see how researchers use experiments with animals along with electrophysiology, surgical and pharmacological methods to understand how the brain controls these critical behaviors.
